The Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Choir is one of the most renowned and oldest choral ensembles in modern Russia. The Choir traditionally takes part in major state projects and significant musical celebrations.

War and Peace. Russian Pierre is an original theatrical production by Yuri Grymov.
The play was co-written by Alexander Shishov.
The entire theatre company, along with guest actors, takes part in the production. Around seventy performers appear on stage, including the renowned Sveshnikov Russian State Academic Choir, which performs throughout the production, presenting deeply moving songs, Orthodox sacred hymns, as well as works of Western European music.
