Charitable fund “Klassika” for the third time will hold “Russian Day”

On June 12 the unique cultural one-day-project “Russian Day in the World” will be held for the third time. The best Russian orchestras and choirs will perform the most famous musical masterpieces at the most prestigious stages of Switzerland, Israel and Germany.

The renowned Russian artists Denis Matsuev, Yury Laptev, Mikhail Gantvarg, famous Sveshnikov State Russian Choir and brilliant ensemble “The St. Petersburg Soloists” will be the ambassadors of the Russian culture for this day. The State Orchestra of Tatarstan with artistic director Alexander Sladkovsky will take part in the “Russian Day in the World” project for the first time.

London’s Barbican to mark Russia Day with unique choral program

One of Russia’s oldest choral ensemble will give a special concert in the UK capital on June 12 in honor of Russia Day. The Sveshnikov State Choir of Russia will perform a range of choral pieces, from traditional folk songs to works by Prokofiev and Shostakovich.

For the first time one of the Russia’s oldest choral ensemble, the Sveshnikov State Choir of Russia, is to perform a concert program in London. The event will be held at the Barbican Centre and is devoted to the Russia Day celebration on June 12.

The performance will give a unique overview of the most outstanding Russian choral pieces of the last 300 years, from traditional Russian folk songs to the spiritual works of Dmitry Bortnyasky and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Baritone Yuri Laptev, a soloist at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, will take part in the performance.

Le chœur des femmes et des hommes, la magnificence de voix libérant en portées la quintessence de la musique liturgique orthodoxe. Chants encensés avec la présence du grandissime soliste, Youri Laptev. La Journée Russe, une date à marquer sur le calendrier universel de l’histoire contemporaine. Un évènement digne de ce nom qui se doit d’être célébré tous les ans. La Russie est avant tout une nation dotée d’une culture riche étroitement liée à son Histoire.
